Brass Workshop Weekend with Triton Brass

The ASYO is thrilled to be hosting a weekend open to all brass players of WNC with the Boston-based quintet, Triton Brass. Whether you’re a beginning, intermediate, or advanced player, this weekend has something for everyone.

Join us in the fun of connecting with other brass students in the area by participating in the following activities:

  • Brass ensemble readings and coachings
  • Panel discussion
  • Individual instrumental masterclasses (middle school, high school, and college divisions)
  • Visit vendors to try instruments, mouthpieces, mutes, music, and more
  • Recital featuring the Triton Brass Quintet
  • Finale concert on Sunday including all attendees with the ASYO and Triton Brass at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium

Cost: $15 which includes the above activities, lunch, and a complimentary ticket to the evening recital. Cost can be paid upon arrival on Saturday, February 24. Scholarships are available!

About the Artists

 

The Triton Brass Quintet is an exciting musical collaborative comprising five of New England’s top talents. Prize winners at the 2005 Lyon International Chamber Music Competition and 2003 Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, Triton Brass has served for many years as the artists-in-residence at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where the group serves as both performers and instructors. Triton Brass also served as chamber music faculty as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute from 2005-2010. The Quintet performs extensively in numerous capacities, including recitals, educational concerts and residencies, formal affairs, and collaborative endeavors.
