A junior at Asheville High School, Grace has played the flute since she was five.
Grace has won an Outstanding Junior Woodwind Player from Sonata Festival in Tennessee in 2007 and Ensemble Competition in 2009 with her violinist sister, Kristie. Grace was a category winner (wind/brass) in Junior Division at Charlotte Symphony Guild Young Artist Concerto Competition in 2010. Winning first chair in all-district band, and first chair in NC All-State Honors Band in 2012, Grace participated the clinics and concerts UNC Chapel Hill in May 2012. As a winner of 2012 Asheville-Buncombe Youth Orchestra (ABYO) concerto competition, Grace performed as a soloist with the orchestra in March 2012 at Asheville Civic Center.
Grace performed as a solo flutist with ABYO on Oct. 28, 2012 in the opening concert of its 18th season.
Grace won first place at the inaugural Asheville Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition in March 2012 and appeared in Ice Cream Sundae Recital.
Invited by Asheville Symphony Guild, Grace, with her sister will appear in the concert on March 12, 2012 at Biltmore House in Asheville, NC.
Grace has played with the Asheville-Buncombe Youth Orchestra for three years and she is the principal in the flute section.
For 7 weeks in both summer 2011 and 2012 Grace was accepted into the high school division in Brevard Music Center Summer Studies and studied with Marianne Gedigian and Dilshad Posnock.
Grace is the Co-founder and president of the Asheville Young Musicians Club (AYMC) where classically-trained talented high school student musicians come together for weekly rehearsals and to share their musical talents through benefit concerts. The group raised and donated $2,000 through Vision Nicaragua for the education of the children in Nicaragua from its last concert on April 21, 2012. Grace and the AYMC have been invited to perform in the Pan Harmonia concert series 2nd Sunday at 5 on Feb. 10, 2013.
Grace currently studies with Dilshad Posnock of Brevard, NC.
