On Friday, May 29, 2026, Grammy-nominated violinist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird makes his Asheville Symphony debut at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium under the baton of guest conductor Christopher Dragon.
Bird will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his acclaimed record The Mysterious Production of Eggs with a rare, start-to-finish album performance featuring orchestral arrangements. The evening will close with a set of fan-favorite songs from his nearly 30-year career.
Bird has captivated audiences across the globe, from Carnegie Hall and Red Rocks to the Sydney Opera House, and now brings his incredible artistry to Asheville in what promises to be one of the most unforgettable concerts of the season.
