Get ready for an unforgettable night of country and folk favorites as vocalist Emily Redden joins the Asheville Symphony’s genre-bending series.

From classic hits from Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash to the timeless I’ll Fly Away, to modern anthems and more, you’ll hear a celebration of country and folk music reimagined through the rich, intimate sound of a chamber orchestra.

Due to the impacts of Winter Storm Fern and out of concern for the safety of our audience, artists, and staff, the Asheville Symphony has postponed ALT ASO @ The Orange Peel originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. to Monday, March 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

Emily Redden is thrilled to make her debut with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra in a special folk and country collaboration. A Louisville native from a family of singers, Emily has been performing on stage since age 11, when she played the title role in Annie. She has since appeared in productions including Ragtime, Seussical the Musical, Beauty and the Beast, and La Traviata, and has earned top honors in several vocal competitions, including first place in the University of Kentucky’s All-Tech Vocal Competition and the Bronze Medal at the 2025 American Traditions Vocal Competition.

After moving to Atlanta to pursue film and performance opportunities, Emily has continued to explore her love of music and storytelling. She looks forward to sharing her passion with audiences in Asheville.
