Asheville Amadeus Finale Concert
Sunday, March 24, 4 p.m.
Thomas Wolfe Auditorium
Asheville Amadeus ends with Rachmaninoff riches, featuring his greatest concertos: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Piano Concerto No. 2. Indulge in some of the most beloved, difficult, romantic and lush concertos — all in one afternoon. The finale concert of Asheville Amadeus brings star pianist Garrick Ohlsson, one of the foremost interpreters of Rachmaninoff, to Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. With a 32-foot stage extension thrusting the Symphony into the midst of the audience, and seating available on stage, the finale is a celebration of musical gluttony that will go down in Asheville history.
