The Seventh Sessions
SESSION 1: SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2020 AT 4 P.M.
WORTHAM CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Darko Butorac, conductor
Be a part of Asheville Symphony history, as we perform and record Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 for our first commercial classical recording. Shifting from our usual stage to the more intimate Diana Wortham Theatre, the orchestra will perform and record three takes of the Seventh, with two performances on Saturday and one on Sunday. Each session will include a discussion with Maestro Darko Butorac, a full performance of this epic work and a behind-the-scenes look at the production process. Don’t miss an opportunity to celebrate this moment with our musicians and fellow classical music lovers.
