The Asheville Symphony Orchestra is proud to present its annual Young People’s Concert for all fifth graders in Asheville and Buncombe County. This special event offers students the opportunity to experience a live orchestral performance led by Guest Conductor Matthew Troy, while learning about concert etiquette and the different instrument families that make up the orchestra.

Through engaging repertoire and guided commentary, students will explore how strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion work together to create the full symphonic sound, bringing their classroom learning to life in an exciting, immersive setting.
