Which performance this season are you most looking forward to and why? I am looking forward to our opening night. Getting the season started with our new conductor and playing such a great program is very exciting.
When I’m not on stage with the Asheville Symphony, you can find me… teaching private violin lessons, rehearsing and performing with Opal String Quartet and Temple Trio, taking care of my two small children, taking voice lessons and running a small business of skincare, health and wellness.
My favorite non-classical music is… indie-rock, some classic rock (mostly Russian) and world music.
What is your favorite or most memorable performance with the ASO? Darko Butorac’s audition concert!
My favorite part of performing is… being in the moment with the music and seeing what is being created. It is never the same from one concert to the next.
The thing (food/experience/place) I enjoy most about Asheville is… mountain biking!
You should come see the Asheville Symphony, because… we have are really growing and working toward our true potential. Our audience’s excitement and support are infectious. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what a small regional orchestra can create with such a great community following.
